What We've Been Up To...

Foster Kids KC has been hard at work providing area children entering foster care and their new foster families with the help and items they need to make an easier transition.

Recently we have:

• Delivered two sets of clothing for ages newborn to 18 to cornerstones of care for kids to pick out their own outfits as they go into their new homes.

• Provided the essentials for kits including car seats, pack n plays, face wash, hair care products, deodorant, lotion, socks, underwear, formula, additional clothing totaling $4,600

• Reacted quickly to a call about a premie going to a family that had nothing for a baby the next day; we were able to provide the family with everything a baby could need including a crib, car seat, clothes, bottles, diapers, wipes, pacifiers, toys, etc.

• Supported area foster families by outsourcing the foster children’s laundry and providing a monthly cleaning service using Laundry Matters.
