We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to share our accomplishments for the month of January, made possible by your generous support.
This month, we successfully delivered 5 kits directly to the doorsteps of foster families. Additionally, we provided clean laundry for 42 children and home cleaning services for 41 kids. These efforts are crucial in ensuring that foster children have a comfortable and supportive environment.
During the Month of January we also welcomed our new intern, Simone Seals! Simone is a Senior at Raytown High School and also attends the Herndon Career Center in Business Innovations and Creation Program! We are thrilled to have her with us!
We would also like to share some up to date facts. As you know Foster Kids KC was founded in 2019. Since that time we have been able to:
Deliver 655 kits ( this number grows daily)
Provide over 2,735 bags of laundry
Provide 195 home cleanings
We find these statistics to be astounding and could not do this work without you and your generosity!

Dear Foster Kids KC Community,
We hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the progress we've made in 2024, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of our mission to serve, encourage, and empower the local foster youth of Kansas City. Thanks to your generosity, we are thrilled to share some of our significant accomplishments this year: -
**125 Kits Delivered**: We successfully delivered 122 kits filled with essential items, including size and weather-appropriate clothing, shoes, toiletries, diapers, wipes, formula, and special items directly to the doorsteps of foster families. Your contributions have made these vital resources accessible to those in need. - Not only does this provide them with materials they need but it also sends a message that they are worthy and that there is an entire community of people who care about them.
**Laundry Services **: We have provided clean laundry weekly for 35 children, ensuring they have fresh clothing to wear. This service has not only enhanced their comfort but also their sense of dignity. - 763 loads of laundry done this year providing extra time and resources for foster families to pour into the children in their homes.
**Monthly Home Cleanings **: In line with studies that highlight the importance of a clean living environment, we facilitated monthly home cleanings for 41 children.
60 total cleanings for 2024, giving the gift of extra time and mental capacity for foster parents to devote to the children in their homes. This initiative is particularly beneficial for those with trauma backgrounds, helping to create a more nurturing space. -
**Hair Care and Grooming Services**: We were able to offer hair care and grooming services to 5 local children in foster care. This initiative helps foster a sense of self-esteem and confidence in our youth. These accomplishments would not be possible without your continued support and belief in our mission.
** Mentorship opportunity ** We have also added a mentorship opportunity to our services this year and so far 6 families have utilized this opportunity to experience mentorship through an experienced foster parent and life coach. Our goal is to provide as much support and resources as we can to help foster families continue providing vital care and protection to children in need.
Together, we are making a profound impact on the lives of foster children in our community. Thank you once again for your generosity and commitment. We look forward to updating you on more successes as we continue our journey to empower the foster youth of Kansas City in 2025.

As we wrap up another remarkable month at Foster Kids KC, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who make our mission possible. Your unwavering support, dedication, and compassion truly make a difference in the lives of foster children and their families.
A special thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors, volunteers, and participants in the recent Foster Kids KC Golf Tournament. It was a wild success, and we are thrilled to share that we raised over $120,000, thanks to the generous match from Avanti Residential. These funds will directly support many local foster children and their families, ensuring they receive the resources they need.

In October, we delivered 13 kits to children in need, ensured clean laundry for 35 kids, and provided a tidy home environment for 34 kids. Additionally, our Flower Pot Fund was able to provide a baby swing for a premature baby who needed extra support—thank you for helping us make this possible!
Looking ahead to November, we are excited to announce plans to offer supportive services for foster moms, as well as grooming opportunities for the children in foster care, including hair braiding and haircuts. Our goal is to help these kids feel their best, despite the challenges they may face.

Dear Foster Kids KC Community,
We hope this message finds you well! We wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates from Foster Kids KC and express our gratitude for your continued support.
In August, we delivered 12 care kits to children in foster care, ensuring that 35 children had access to laundry services and clean clothes for the month. Additionally, 34 children benefited from our house cleaning services, providing them with a clean and safe home environment.
We also had the opportunity to purchase a car seat for a family in need, enabling them to safely transport their child.
We are thrilled to announce that Foster Kids KC has been selected for the second year in a row as a benefit match recipient from Avanti Residential during their giving week opportunity! From September 30 to October 14, all donations to Foster Kids KC will be 100% matched by Avanti Residential. This happens to fall during the week of our Annual Golf Tournament! This is an incredible opportunity for us to maximize the impact of your generous contributions. We would be grateful for your support during this initiative, as it will help us continue our mission to provide essential services and support to children in foster care. Dear Foster Kids KC Community,
July has been an incredibly active month for Foster Kids KC! We are thrilled to share that we delivered 17 kits filled with essential items directly to the doorsteps of foster families who recently welcomed new additions into their homes. These kits are vital in helping families adjust to the new dynamics and ensure that every child feels supported and cared for.
Our laundry and cleaning services continue to be a tremendous success, benefiting both the children in foster care and their busy families. We are committed to alleviating some of the pressures these families face, and the positive feedback we receive motivates us to keep going.
We’d like to highlight our “Flower Pot Fund,” named after our founder's grandfather, who always kept a little money stashed away in a flower pot for emergencies. This fund allows us to utilize extra resources to provide essential items for families that go beyond our regular kit deliveries.
In July, we were privileged to assist a family that welcomed two babies with special needs while already caring for another young child. They urgently needed a triple stroller to ensure they could safely transport all three children. Additionally, we provided a wheelchair to a young girl in foster care with limited mobility.
This will make it much easier for her to attend doctor appointments and enjoy outings with her family. We also sent a grocery gift card to a growing foster family with six teenage boys, recognizing the unique challenges they face in providing for their household.

FKKC June 2024 Update
Dear Foster Kids KC Community,
We are thrilled to share the incredible impact that we made together in the month of June.
- 14 Kit delivered to the doorstep of children entering a new foster home.
- 32 kids benefited from our clean home program. We added several new families in the month of June.
- 35 Kids received laundry services to ensure they have clean clothing each week.
- 3 kids attend sports camp and VBS,
- A grocery gift card provided a family with 6 growing boys plenty of food.
- We partnered with a local foster advocate and Foster Adopt Connect to bring essentials to a pregnant teen in Foster Care.

Monthly update May 2024
Dear valued supporters of Foster Kids KC,
We are grateful for your continuous support of our organization and our mission. In the month of May your contributions have made a significant impact on children and families experiencing foster care in our local community. Without your continuous support we would not be able to provide the services, resources and support that we do for these families. The month of May was a little bit slower for kits but that is usually the trend with the end of the school year. We added a couple of more families to our laundry and cleaning services and plan to open up a few more slots in June. This is a vital service for some families. We also have big plans in June to collect grocery gift cards to help shoulder some of the burden of rising food prices and support the needs of foster families in this way. Throughout the summer we hope to pay for the tuition of as many kids as possible to attend VBS and sports camps. Be on the lookout for these updates in June!

Monthly update April 2024
Foster Kids KC is so thankful for the unwavering support and generosity of our community. Community contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of foster children and families in our in the Kansas City Missouri area. The dedicated support of donations, time and resources are what make our mission a reality. We’d like to commit to regular sharing with all of you what we are able to do, together we have been able to provide tangible support for children in foster care and their families including 17 kit deliveries , 45 children with clean laundry, 12 children with a clean and tidy home and 3 beds to 3 young boys who needed a place to comfortably sleep.
